Templates are pre-defined formatted text that can be inserted into the main notes section of an Outlook appointment. They make it easy to use a standard format whenever appropriate, such as for lesson plans or meeting agendas.
Templates can be created by the user or provided by someone else for use across the whole establishment or a single department. Some initial samples are provided with Academic Calendar.
The sample below is a standard lesson planning format. You could adapt it to your own purposes and individuals or departments could standardise on their own.
The user can create his/her own templates or use those created by others and placed in the school’s Public Templates folder.
Templates can be set up to automatically fill the notes section of an appointment if certain conditions are met, as below.
